Mepilex Border E.M. 7.5X8.5 is a self-adhesive polyurethane foam dressing coated with soft medium grade silicone. Its primary function is to absorb wound exudate and provide protection. It is composed of a soft silicone cover that gently adheres to the dry area around the wound, and an absorbent body consisting of layers of polyurethane, nonwoven fabric and a superabsorbent fibre pad. Some of the benefits of Border E.M. are its protective polyurethane film that repels liquids and allows perspiration, its ability to stay in place without constantly peeling off, and its ability to intelligently manage exudate by channelling and trapping it.
