In vitro studies have shown that Melgisorb Ag is able to inactivate important pathogens (bacteria and viruses) within four hours to 14 days. Melgisorb Ag is suitable for handling large amounts of exudate. The alginate fibres have a high absorption capacity, forming a soft gel that creates a moist environment favourable for wound healing.
