Maria Treben’s Swedish herbal elixir, available in a 200 ml bottle, is a product that can be used as a topical treatment or as a dietary supplement. It is recommended for treating various external conditions and improving digestion whilst strengthening the immune system.
It contains 36 per cent alcohol by volume and can be drunk directly or applied externally using gauze or cotton wool to treat conditions such as rheumatism, herpes, pain, inflammation, insect bites or skin allergies.
Oral use is recommended for stomach aches, digestive problems, allergies, aches and general malaise, or rheumatism. It can be applied topically to the affected area for insect bites, chickenpox, loss of voice, throat inflammation or tonsillitis. It has also been shown to be effective in helping to relieve headaches, stomach ache, inflamed nails and minor wounds.
