Leukoplast Prof Strong is a product that has the ability to isolate the wounded skin to achieve a better recovery. This product has two very important benefits to prevent skin maceration. This is a condition that causes softening and decomposition due to excess moisture. Firstly, the outside of the bandage prevents water from passing through, which keeps it sufficiently dry. Secondly, it has a pad that absorbs body fluids to minimise moisture as well. This provides an environment conducive to rapid wound healing.

Other features and benefits of using this bandage include the following.

• Its adhesive capacity is so good that it can stay on the skin for a few days. In addition to this, it is flexible enough to be placed on joints. The benefit of this is that it will not easily fall off with the movement of the person.
• In addition to the pad being absorbent, it is soft enough not to cause painful rubbing. This is very important in order not to make the condition worse.
• The product can be trimmed to fit the knuckles, fingertips and phalanges. This will prevent discomfort when closing the hand or gripping an object.

To use this product correctly, the following sequence of steps should be taken into account.

1. Clean and disinfect the wound properly for a good recovery.
2. Cut a little of the dressing to cover the wound completely and a little more (you can use scissors).
3. Remove the protective paper from the adhesive without touching it too much so as not to alter its properties. The adhesive must not touch the wound at any time.
4. Place it so that the pad lies on top of the affected skin and the bandage is smooth.
5. Press a little on the sides so that it adheres properly to the skin.

To increase the adhesion of the product it is recommended to rub it a little with your hands before use.
