Lainco Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic for skin use whose active ingredient is chlorhexidine digluconate, an antiseptic that is applied to the skin and used as an antiseptic for wounds and minor skin burns and as an antiseptic for the navel in newborns.
Contains 25 ml.

Linitul Antiseptic is a medicinal product for skin use formulated with chlorhexidine digluconate as active ingredient, an antiseptic compound effective especially against gram-positive bacteria and some fungi such as Candida. Thanks to its bacteriostatic and fungistatic action, it is designed to reduce the risk of infections in wounds, minor burns and other superficial skin lesions.
Linitul Antiseptic is indicated for the disinfection of small wounds, shallow burns, skin grazes or cracks, as well as for the care of the navel in newborns. It is also used as a protective measure against skin infections in healthcare environments. It can be applied on intact skin in the pre-operative period or on the hands of medical personnel.
Chlorhexidine belongs to the group of chlorophenylbiguanidine derivatives. It acts by altering the membrane of bacteria, preventing their proliferation. Although its effect is not immediate, it is characterised by a prolonged action thanks to its good adherence to the skin. In addition to its broad spectrum against bacteria, it also has limited activity against fungi and spores.
Apply directly to the affected area, clean and dry, once or twice a day. It is not necessary to dilute the product. In spray presentations such as this one, it can be sprayed on the injured skin or on a sterile gauze for a more localised application. Do not exceed the recommended frequency (maximum two applications per day).
This medicinal product is for external use only. Do not use in eyes, ears, mucous membranes or inside the mouth.
Not for use in persons with known allergy to chlorhexidine digluconate or to any of the excipients of the product.
Factors such as alkaline pH, organic residues or certain soaps may decrease its efficacy. On the other hand, neutral pH, heat, non-ionic detergents and certain salts (such as quaternary ammonium salts) may enhance its action. May interfere with microbiological tests if used concurrently with antibiotics.
Adverse reactions are rare, but may include irritation, contact dermatitis or photosensitivity. In very rare cases and with inappropriate use (such as middle ear application or accidental ingestion), more serious complications such as deafness or haemolytic anaemia have been reported.
Systemic absorption after topical application is minimal. However, if accidentally ingested, especially by children, symptoms such as nausea or drowsiness may occur. In such cases, a doctor should be consulted, who may recommend gastric lavage and digestive protection measures.
Linitul Antiseptic comes in 25 ml bottles with a spray pump for easy and precise application. It is a colourless or slightly yellowish solution. It should be stored away from light and heat. Avoid contact with clothing as it may leave brown stains if washed with bleach or hypochlorite; detergents with sodium perborate are recommended.
