Optivet capsules is a food supplement developed by Köning Laboratories to help prevent and treat the most common visual disorders in dogs and cats.
The proportion of lutein, beta-carotene and DHA has been specially defined to have a positive effect on various visual system disorders.
Lutein acts as a natural sunscreen at the back of the eyes. It protects them from the sun's rays while preventing or delaying the visual loss that occurs with the ageing process.
It protects the retina and strengthens eyesight by constantly reinforcing it.
Beta-carotene is the precursor of retinol (vitamin A). It is present in the rods and is essential for vision in low light conditions. Retinol also helps prevent and treat keratoconjunctivitis sicca.
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an essential nutrient for visual and neurological development. It acts at the level of the retina.
DHA supplementation has been shown to help prevent the onset of retinal degeneration and improve the symptoms of dry eye syndrome.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
Dogs: up to 20 kg, one capsule/day.
Over 20 kg two capsules/day.
