GASTROVET 60 ml Oral Solution

Gastroduodenal mucosa protector for canines, felines and ferrets.
Gastrovet is the only one that combines the action of sucrose-aluminium hydroxide complex with liquorice extract.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Deglycyrrhizinated Liquorice extract:
Stimulates the repair of the digestive mucosa.
Promotes the secretion of gastric mucus.

Sucrose-aluminium complex:
Generates a protective layer on the injured areas, against attack by hydrochloric acid (hyperacidity) and/or pepsin.
Absorbs pepsin and bile acids and inhibits their erosive effect on the mucosa, preventing future lesions.

Stimulates the production of gastroprotective agents such as prostaglandin E2 and gastric mucus.
On contact with stomach acid, Gastrovet dissociates, generating highly bioadherent mucilage.
It binds electrostatically to proteins and fibrinogen exposed by lesions, establishing a protective barrier.

Indicated as an adjuvant in the curative and/or preventive treatment of:
Gastritis and Duodenitis.
Oesophageal reflux.
Lesions of the gastric mucosa due to stress.
Adverse effects at the digestive level due to NSAIDs.

DOSAGE:
Cats and puppies up to 5 kg: 1 ml / day.
Adult and small dogs 5 to 10 kg: 2 ml / day
Medium dogs 10 to 20 kg: 4 ml / day
Large dogs from 20 to 30 kg: 6 ml / day
Large dogs from 30 kg and over: 8 ml / day

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended to administer Gastrovet half an hour before food or medication.
If preferred, divide the daily dose into two doses.
Shake before use.
