What is Indolgen?

Indolgen is a medicine that contains, among others, paracetamol, chlorphenamine and phenylephrine, so it will improve symptoms such as fever, pain, general malaise, runny nose and nasal congestion. In other words, to improve cold and flu symptoms.

Who can take Indolgen?

Indolgen is indicated for use in adults, adolescents and children from 12 years of age. Indolgen granulated is indicated for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.

How to take Indolgen granulate

It is a medicine that is taken orally. They are sachets and the recommended dosage is 1 sachet every 6 to 8 hours, depending on the intensity of the symptoms. That is, 3 or 4 sachets a day. Up to a maximum of 4 every 24 hours.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to paracetamol, phenylephrine, chlorphenamine or any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product (listed in section 6).
  • If you have high blood pressure (hypertension).
  • If you have thyroid disease (hyperthyroidism).
  • If you have severe liver or kidney disease.
  • If you have severe heart or artery disease (severe coronary heart disease or angina pectoris).
  • If you suffer from diabetes mellitus.
  • If you suffer from tachycardia (rapid heartbeat).
  • If you are being treated with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) medicine (such as some antidepressant medicines or medicines to treat Parkinson's disease).
  • If you are being treated with sympathomimetic medicines (medicines used to treat asthma, or medicines to speed up your heart rate).
  • If you are being treated with beta-blocker medicines (medicines for the heart or to treat artery disease (see Other medicines and Indolgen section).
  • If you have glaucoma (raised eye pressure).
  • Children under 14 years of age cannot take this medicine because of the dose of paracetamol.

Side effects

Slight drowsiness, dizziness, muscle weakness, which may disappear after 2-3 days of treatment. Precautions
