Improzol 20 Mg, 14 capsules

Improzol 20 mg is used to improve the symptoms of acid regurgitation, heartburn and reflux.

Improzol is a medicine that can be taken by adults who suffer from symptoms or discomfort due to reflux, as acid coming up the oesophagus can cause inflammation and pain.

Improzol is a medicine that is taken orally. The dosage is one 20 mg capsule once a day. It is advisable not to take it for more than 14 days. This capsule should be taken in the morning, with or without food, with a glass of water to facilitate swallowing.

Improzol is contraindicated in patients with allergy to omeprazole or to any of its components described in the composition section. It is also contraindicated in patients who are allergic to medicines containing proton pump inhibitors, or who are taking a medicine containing nelfinavir (indicated for HIV infection).

Sudden wheezing, swelling of the lips, tongue and throat or body, skin rash, fainting or difficulty swallowing (severe allergic reaction).

- Reddening of the skin with blistering or peeling. Severe blistering and bleeding from the lips, eyes, mouth, nose and genitals may also occur.

This may be "Stevens-Johnson syndrome" or "toxic epidermal necrolysis".

- Yellowing of the skin, dark urine and tiredness, which may be symptoms of liver problems.

Improzol contains 20 mg of omeprazole as the active substance in each capsule. The other ingredients are excipients such as: sugar spheres (sucrose and maize starch), anhydrous lactose, hypromellose, sodium lauryl sulphate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, disodium phosphate dihydrate, hypromellose phthalate and diethyl phthalate. In addition, the capsule is made of gelatine and consists of gelatine, indigotine (E-132) and quinoline yellow (E-104).
