Flonase is a nasal spray suspension with anti-inflammatory action that relieves the symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis. Thanks to its formula with a corticosteroid called fluticasone propionate, it helps to control the body's reaction to allergens present in the air, such as pollen, dust mites, fungal spores or animal hairs.)
Intended for use in adults seeking relief from seasonal allergy symptoms.
The recommended dose is 2 sprays in each nostril once a day, preferably in the morning. Once symptoms improve, the dose can be reduced to 1 spray daily. Occasionally and in the short term when symptoms are very strong, 2 sprays twice a day may be applied, but in no case exceeding the maximum dose of 4 sprays per nostril per day.
Do not use Flonase:
- If you are under 18 years of age.
- In case of allergy to fluticasone propionate, as well as to any other ingredient present in this medicine.
Flonase may cause side effects, as with all medicines. This does not mean that everyone will experience side effects. However, some of them may be serious.
- Very common: occasional nosebleeds.
- Frequent: sneezing, headache, dry or irritated nose and/or throat.
- Very rare: nasal problems including pain or bleeding.
- Very rare but serious: symptoms of allergic reaction such as skin rash, swelling or difficulty breathing; eye problems such as cataracts or glaucoma; perforations in the nasal septum.
- Not known: ulcers in the nose, blurred vision.
Each 100 mg of Flonase nasal suspension contains 50 mg of fluticasone propionate as the main active substance. The other excipients are: glucose (anhydrous), microcrystalline cellulose, carmellose sodium, phenylethanol, benzalkonium chloride, polysorbate 80 and purified water.
Flonase nebuliser is an anti-inflammatory medicine containing a corticosteroid as the active ingredient, which relieves the symptoms of rhinitis caused by various factors, such as pollen, mites or animal hair.
It comes in an opaque bottle that protects the solution from sunlight. Before use, it is recommended to clean the nasal passages with physiological saline solution and to blow out the mucus.
