Instructions for use Take 1 lozenge every 2 or 3 hours and no more than 8 a day. Contraindications Children under 6 years of age are contraindicated, as children are more sensitive to the use of benzocaine, as well as those over 65 years of age, whose use is not indicated, in addition to the sensitivity because it produces hypertension. Pregnancy and lactation: a doctor should be consulted. Side effects Like all medicines, Faringesic may cause side effects: Frequent: irritation in the mouth or tip of the tongue, allergic reactions due to the use of chlorhexidine or benzocaine. Very frequent: oedema (due to fluid retention), hypertension, staining of the teeth may occur (this is temporary and is removed by cleaning) and altered taste may occur. Composition The active ingredients of Faringesic Lemon Flavour are chlorhexidine dichloride and benzocaine. The other excipients are: sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, polyvidone, magnesium stearate, menthol, lemon flavouring.
