Part your pet's hair at the top of the back, leaving the skin visible. Apply the end of the pipette directly to the skin, emptying the contents completely by gently shaking the pipette. Be sure to apply the product in an area where your pet cannot lick itself or other animals can lick each other. Be careful not to get the product too wet on your pet's coat; it may give it a sticky appearance. However, if this happens, it will disappear within 24 hours. Do not apply this product to lesions or wounds. Shampooing your pet one hour before treatment does not affect the efficacy of the product. However, bathing or immersion in water should be avoided for two days after application. Weekly immersion in water for one minute reduces the persistence period of insecticidal efficacy against fleas for one week. The product does not prevent ticks from attaching to your pet. If you have previously treated your pet against tick exposure, ticks will die within 24-48 hours of attachment to your pet. Once dead, ticks usually fall off the animal, but any remaining ticks can be removed. Typically, fleas on pets infest the basket, bedding and regular bedding areas such as carpets and mattresses. These can be treated using a suitable insecticide and regular vacuuming.
