Ointment for the relief of itching and pain of the skin due to minor irritations caused by allergies.

Detramax is a medicine formulated with hydrocortisone and propanocaine as active ingredients, which have an anti-inflammatory and local anaesthetic action. Its use is indicated for the temporary symptomatic relief of itching and pain of irritated skin caused by external factors, such as contact allergy, insect bites, jellyfish and nettle stings.
It comes in a 30 g tube.
For use by adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding you should consult your doctor before use, although as a general rule it is contraindicated during the first three months of pregnancy, as well as its use in the breast area during breastfeeding.
Apply a small amount of cream to the affected area 1 to 3 times a day with a gentle massage.
Wash hands after each application.
Do not use Detramax:
In children under 12 years of age, unless prescribed by a doctor.
In case of allergy to hydrocortisone, propanocaine or any of the excipients present in the formula of this medicine.
On skin infected by bacteria, fungi or viruses (e.g. herpes or chicken pox).
On wounds and mucous membranes (e.g. eyes, mouth, anal or genital area).
On skin with acne, nor for the treatment of athlete's foot.
For the treatment of ulcers.
For nappy rash or nappy rash.
In case of tuberculosis or syphilis where the skin is affected.
On an area of redness or reaction around a vaccine.
On areas affected by inflammation with redness of the skin on the face (rosacea) or inflammation around the mouth (perioral dermatitis).
Detramax ointment may cause side effects, as with all medicines. In this case, the side effects that may occur are mainly due to excessive use or use with an occlusive dressing.
Allergic reactions such as contact dermatitis may occur.
The use of corticosteroids on the skin can lead to skin atrophy (thinning of the skin), telangiectasia (small veins visible on the skin), stretch marks, especially during prolonged treatment, redness, hypertrichosis (hair growth), bruising, acne, delayed healing, delayed healing of the skin and skin irritation.delayed healing, rosacea (inflammation with redness of the skin on the face), perioral dermatitis (an inflammation around the mouth), secondary infection such as fungal infection of the skin or mucous membranes.
Prolonged use or use over large areas may lead to absorption through the skin and systemic effect (in areas of the body other than the area of application), e.g. glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye), blurred vision.This may include glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye), blurred vision - with an unknown frequency (frequency cannot be estimated from available data) or a condition characterised by swelling of the face, neck and obesity may occur.
The active ingredients of Detramax are: hydrocortisone and propanocaine hydrochloride. Each gram contains 2.5 mg hydrocortisone (0.25%) and 15 mg propanocaine hydrochloride (1.5%). The other excipients: glycerol (E422), propylene glycol, ketostearyl alcohol, methyl (nipagin) parahydroxybenzoate (E218), ethanol and purified water.
This medicine is a shiny white ointment with a smooth texture, presented in aluminium tubes.
Wash hands after use and avoid contact with eyes.
