If you have wounds on your hands, avoid direct contact with the condom to reduce the possibility of infection.

Remove and dispose of the condom in a safe and hygienic manner by throwing it in the trash, never in the toilet.

Condoms are for single use only, so use a new condom for each sexual act or if you change partners during intercourse. If the condom material is brittle, sticky or visibly damaged, do not use it.

Anal condom use increases the risk of breakage. In such cases, use a thicker condom.

In case of breakage or slippage, if the condom is used to prevent pregnancy, it is advisable to consult a doctor within 72 hours.

If additional lubrication is desired, use only water-based lubricants, such as glycerine. Do not use oil-based lubricants such as petroleum jelly, baby oil, body lotion, massage oil, butter, margarine, etc... as they may damage the condom.

A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted about the compatibility of condoms with topical products applied to the penis or vagina.

Used correctly, latex condoms help prevent pregnancy and many sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) such as syphilis, gonorrhoea, chlamydial infections, genital herpes, hepatitis B or AIDS. The use of condoms does not eliminate this risk entirely.

Condom contact with shaved hair or piercings increases the risk of breakage. In these cases, extreme precautions should be taken.

Latex condoms should not be used by people who are allergic to latex".
