Syrup for the relief of unproductive cough accompanied by nasal congestion.
Contains 200 ml.
It is a syrup indicated for the treatment of symptoms of unproductive coughs (irritative, nervous) accompanied by nasal congestion, and is therefore widely used in the treatment of processes associated with the common cold and flu.
Intended for use in adults and children from 6 years of age.
The recommended dosage varies according to the age of the patient:
12 years and over: 10 ml every 8 hours (maximum 3 times a day).
Children 6-11 years: 5 ml every 8 hours (maximum 3 times a day).
Do not use Cinfatos Decongestant:
In children under 6 years of age.
In patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components present in the composition of this medicinal product.
If there is previous or concomitant treatment with: MAOI or SSRI antidepressants, Bupropion, Linezolid, Procarbazine, Selegiline.
In patients with asthmatic cough, productive cough, respiratory failure, arterial hypertension, liver disease, ulcerative colitis, hypertension, severe coronary or arterial disease, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism.
In sedated, debilitated or bedridden patients.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, without first consulting a doctor. Do not use during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Cinfatos Decongestant may cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines on the market. In particular, the following reactions have been observed frequently: nervousness, insomnia, restlessness, taste alterations.
Each ml of Cinfatos Decongestant contains the following active ingredients: 2 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide, 6 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 0.25 mg triprolidine hydrochloride. The other excipients are: Citric acid monohydrate (E-330), Sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E-219), Sorbitol liquid non-crystallisable (E-420), Saccharin sodium (E-954), Sodium cyclamate, Orange flavouring, Purified water.
For correct administration of the medicine, use the measuring cup and rinse after each use. Drink a glass of water immediately afterwards to hydrate the mucous membranes.
Do not take with grapefruit or orange juice.
It is important to drink plenty of water during treatment to promote the action of the drug.
Once opened, this product remains stable for 18 months. After this time, discard.
To avoid the possibility of insomnia, take a couple of hours before bedtime.
If treatment does not improve within 5 days, or if symptoms worsen during this time, seek medical advice.
