What is Chloroethyl Chemirose?

Chloroethyl Chemirosa is a skin spray used to produce local cryo-anaesthesia on intact skin, i.e. rapid and short-lasting anaesthesia achieved by intense cold.

Formulated with ethyl chloride as the active ingredient, a halogenated hydrocarbon, this product is for use on intact skin only.

What is chloroethylchloroethyl used for?

Its mechanism of action is to rapidly lower the temperature of the skin, destabilising the superficial nerve endings for a local anaesthetic effect. Its main uses are:

  • Immediate pain relief before minor medical procedures such as venipunctures or minor superficial surgery.
  • In sports medicine it is applied to reduce pain caused by blows, injuries or sprains, as it provides rapid relief by cooling the affected area.

Benefits of Chloroethyl Spray

Chemirosa Chloroethyl Spray offers several benefits:

  • It acts on pain immediately and locally through cryo-anaesthesia or cold anaesthesia.
  • Helps reduce inflammation associated with muscle injuries.
  • Reduces stress and discomfort associated with pain.
  • Useful for athletes or people with chronic muscular discomfort.

How to use cryoanesthetic spray

To apply, hold the bottle in one hand, press the button with one finger and spray the area to be anaesthetised, keeping the bottle at a distance of about 15 cm. Spray several times for 3-5 seconds until the desired effect is achieved, which is manifested by the white, hardened appearance of the skin.

This is an exclusively external skin product on intact skin.

Precautions with spray anaesthesia

Chloroethyl should only be applied to intact skin (without irritation or wounds) and should never be inhaled, as its misuse can have serious toxic effects. Therefore, avoid direct inhalation. In addition, it is not recommended for persons allergic to ethyl chloride and should be kept away from heat sources.
