Brum Vaseline Pure Ointment 60 gr

Vaseline pure Brum is an ointment containing vaseline as the active ingredient, which is a softening agent.

It is indicated as a skin protectant due to its emollient (softening) properties and can be used to relieve the symptoms of dry, chapped and irritated skin.

As a general lubricant.

In use by qualified healthcare personnel: as a lubricant in examinations, application of dressings.

Follow exactly the instructions for use given in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The recommended dose is:

On the skin: apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the area to be treated one to three times a day.

On scans: Apply a thin layer of the product to the area of friction before the examination.

Cutaneous use.

By qualified health personnel: other routes of administration.

If you use more Vaseline pure Brum than you should

No adverse effects have been reported using a thin layer of petroleum jelly on the skin.

Excessive doses on mucous membranes (e.g. nostrils) may cause leakage or aspiration, with adverse effects.

In case of overdose or accidental ingestion, consult your doctor or pharmacist or call the Poisons Information Service, Telephone: 91 562 04 20, indicating the medicine and the amount taken.

Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Sensitivity reactions have occurred rarely in susceptible individuals.

Also reported: acne and inflammatory reactions after absorption following off-label use.

Rarely, allergic reactions may occur in sensitive individuals.

Acne may occur with an unknown frequency.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after EXP. The expiry date is the last day of the month indicated.
