Allow the mixture to cool to body temperature (38°C) for puppies. Adults should preferably drink Lactol cold. Mixed Lactol puppy milk can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Reheat to 38°C before use. Fresh drinking water should always be available. Use suitable bottles or syringes.
Prepare milk with clean and sterile materials, especially for young animals. Recommended mixing ratio: Mix 7 heaped scoops (4.5 g per scoop) of milk powder with 100 ml of warm water. Recommended daily amount: It is not possible to state the exact daily amount, as the weight and size of dogs at a given age vary from breed to breed. Feeding on demand is most effective.
The table in the leaflet can be used as a guide. Weigh puppies daily to check that they are gaining sufficient weight. In large litters, Lactol can be given as a supplementary food to weaker puppies.
