Tablets for the relief of nasal and eye symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis.
Contains 20 tablets.
Bactil Forte 20 mg is a medicine belonging to the group of so-called antihistamines (anti-allergics) and is therefore indicated for the treatment of mild symptoms of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (sneezing, nasal itching, runny nose, nasal congestion and red eyes).It is therefore indicated for the treatment of mild symptoms of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (sneezing, nasal itching, runny nose, nasal congestion and red, watery eyes) and urticaria (hives).
It comes in a pack of 20 film-coated tablets.
It is intended for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over for whom Bactil 10 mg is not sufficient.
Take 1 tablet a day to control symptoms (20 mg of ebastine). In general, 1 tablet of 10 mg of ebastine would be sufficient.
In patients with severe liver disease, the dose should not exceed 10 mg of ebastine/day, in which case the Bactil 10 mg presentation is recommended.
Do not use Bactil Forte:
In children under 12 years of age.
If you are allergic to ebastine or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding and have not previously consulted a doctor.
As with all medicines, Bactil Forte may cause side effects, although not everybody will experience them:
Very common: headache.
Frequent: drowsiness, dry mouth.
Rare: hypersensitivity reactions (allergic reactions), nervousness, insomnia, dizziness, decreased sensation of touch or sensation, decreased or altered taste, palpitations, tachycardia, abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, digestive problems, inflammation of the liver (hepatitis), cholelithiasis (hepatitis).(hepatitis), cholestasis, abnormal liver function tests (increased transaminases, gamma-GT, alkaline phosphatase and bilirubin), urticaria, rash, skin rash, dermatitis, urticaria (urticaria), urticaria (urticaria), rash, rash, dermatitis, dermatitis, urticaria (urticaria), urticaria (urticaria).Not known frequency: weight gain, weight gain, weight loss, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain, weight gain.

The active substance in Bactil Forte is ebastine. Each tablet contains 20 mg of ebastine. The other excipients are:
Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose (E-460i), pregelatinised maize starch, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium (E-468) and magnesium stearate (E-572).
Coating: hypromellose (E-464), macrogol 6,000 and titanium dioxide (E-171).
The tablets can be taken with or without food, with a glass of water.

Bactil Forte may interfere with the results of allergy skin tests, so it is advisable not to perform them until 5-7 days after stopping treatment.

Bactil Forte does not usually make you sleepy, although drowsiness is listed as a possible side effect. This does not mean that this is common, but it may occur.
