Know how to observe your horse.
Know how to recognise the signs that may indicate a need for joint support: changes or difficulty in the horse's mobility during exercise (asymmetry, lack of rebound, bars...), hot joints after exercise, stiffness or discomfort in cold weather, stiffness on hard ground, creaking when moving a limb. Do not hesitate to note these elements accurately and share them with your vet who will be able to advise you and recommend Harpagyl or Ekyflex Arthro.
Know how to anticipate.
The hindsight of our veterinarians shows that when the horse has had some episodes of stiffness, it is very likely that these episodes will return, depending on the intensity or accumulation of work, or even depending on external conditions (soil, humidity, temperatures). Know how to anticipate these episodes by adapting your horse's working conditions and administering Harpagyl as soon as you feel stiffness to prevent it from setting in. Ask your vet for advice.
A flexible, quick step.
Our vets always select ingredients validated by independent studies to formulate our feed supplements. They also guarantee that the qualities and concentrations provided comply with these studies. This rigour is all the more important for Harpagyl as the differences between types of Harpagophytum are very important. The quality of our ingredients means that Harpagyl users are satisfied from day 3.
During the year, your horse's joints may be more or less sensitive. These variations depend on the intensity of the work, the depth or hardness of the ground, the place where your horse lives or works, and the outside temperature. Harpagosides, one of the components of Harpagophytum, are recognised as natural nutrients that allow to compensate the increased needs of the horse during these episodes.
Formula
Much more than just a product with a high concentration of Harpagophytum, Harpagyl also contains omega-3 in vegetable form, which complement the product naturally to support your horse's joint support.
Harpagyl contains elements in its composition that may cause your horse to test positive for doping. It is therefore recommended to stop taking it 48 hours before a competition. The ADP programme guarantees that no contamination will cause your horse to test positive for doping.
Advice
The versatility of Harpagyl allows you to provide nutritional support to your horse in many situations of temporary or prolonged discomfort. On the other hand, it is essential to consult your veterinarian if you do not know the origin of these discomforts.
