Know how to observe your horse.
Know how to recognise the signs that may indicate a need for joint support: changes or difficulty in the horse's mobility during exercise (asymmetry, irregular stride, lack of rebound, bars, etc.), hot joints after exercise, stiffness or discomfort in cold weather, stiffness on hard ground, crunching when moving the limbs. Do not hesitate to note these elements accurately and share them with your veterinarian who will be able to advise you and recommend Ekyflex Arthro Evo.
Knowing how to anticipate.
The horse's joint capital must be managed throughout its life because, like any athlete, it is particularly stressed and wear and tear is inevitable. Anticipation is the best way to ensure the horse a long career and freedom of movement throughout its life. Knowing how to anticipate particularly demanding periods for the joints: competition period, change of terrain, increased intensity of training, accelerated growth... Administering Ekyflex Arthro EVO 1 month before and during the identified period will allow you to better manage these risky episodes. Ask your veterinarian for advice.
A long and lasting stride
Glucosamine, a key ingredient in this type of product, improves the length of your horse's stride. It comes in two different forms: glucosamine hydrochloride and glucosamine sulphate. Glucosamine sulphate is better assimilated by the horse (on average 2.7 times better assimilated than glucosamine hydrochloride). This is why our veterinarians have selected glucosamine sulphate in high concentration, up to 10 g per 30 g dose in Ekyflex Arthro EVO.
The well-being of the horse's joints depends above all on the integrity of the various components of the joint, viz:
- the cartilage, which has a cushioning and interface function that promotes gliding between the two bones
- the synovial fluid, which allows the joint to lubricate
- the subchondral bone, which allows shock absorption at the level of the bone and prevents the spread to the entire skeleton
The Ekyflex Arthro EVO formula provides nutrients to nourish these different components of the joint to preserve the integrity of its entirety.
Ekyflex Arthro EVO contains no elements in its composition that could cause your horse to test positive for doping. The ADP programme guarantees that no contamination will cause your horse to test positive for doping.
Formula
Ekyflex Arthro EVO represents the evolution of joint capital protection. With 65% of new generation active ingredients, more precise, titrated and selected by our veterinary experts, this formula is free of ingredients of animal origin and respects the horse's physiology. Indeed, the aim is no longer to protect only the cartilage but all the components of the joint, namely the cartilage, the synovial fluid and finally the subchondral bone. This triple protection of Ekyflex Arthro EVO allows you to free your horse's stride and maintain a fluid and lasting movement.
Our user advice
Ekyflex Arthro EVO is used for a period of 2 months. It is always preferable to anticipate periods of need to prevent the horse from using its joint capital. Ekyflex Arthro EVO can be used for long periods or continuously throughout the year. It is also fully compatible with the activity of horses in competition, as demonstrated by the use made of it by members of our team.
