ARISTO Menocalm menopause is a food supplement formulated for older women suffering from symptoms associated with the menopause. These include the hormonal imbalance that accompanies insomnia, irritability, hot flushes and sweating.
ARISTO Menocalm menopause is a food supplement developed by Aristo Pharma Iberia laboratories. It is made from hop extract which is rich in prenylated isoflavonoids. It helps to reduce the severity of the symptoms suffered during the menopause.
It is recommended mainly for physical symptoms, such as hot flushes and sweating, and for psychological disturbances caused by hormonal change, such as irritability and nervousness. Hops help to stabilise the nervous system and improve sleep.
Its formulation is free from excipients, gluten and dairy derivatives, but it does contain sucrose. It is therefore suitable for coeliacs and lactose intolerant people. However, its consumption is not recommended for diabetics, as it may unbalance their glycaemic control.
The 8-prenylnaringenin (isoflavonoid) contained in hops extract acts directly on the alpha and beta oestrogen receptors, which are responsible for the hormonal changes experienced during the menopause. These are located in the hypothalamus and central nervous system.
In addition to isoflavonoids, hops also contain bitter acids which are responsible for relaxing the agitated or irritated nervous system, restoring its balance and healthy state.
This supplement is particularly suitable for women who are going through the menopause and have many of the associated symptoms. For example, hot flushes, sweating, irritability or insomnia.
The recommended dose is 1 capsule per day. It should be taken with a glass of water in the morning. It is not advisable to exceed the recommended daily dose, as this may cause an adverse effect or imbalance in the body.
Do not take if there is any suspicion of pregnancy, nor is it recommended during breastfeeding. Only suitable for menopausal women, never to be taken by young women or girls. Keep out of reach of children, as they may accidentally ingest it. Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources. Such conditions may affect the stability of the capsule. Never use as a substitute for main meals or a healthy lifestyle. Do not take in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of its components.
