Contributes to the harmonisation of gastric and intestinal activity
Supports gastrointestinal mucous membranes and digestive functions.
100% American red elm bark: dried and finely ground
It is composed of long-chain sugar molecules, also called polysaccharides, which form a viscous mass on contact with water. This is deposited as a coating on the inner wall of the stomach and intestines, and can thus naturally support the gastrointestinal tract of dogs and cats. Especially after stressful situations such as diarrhoea and vomiting, elm bark helps your dog and cat to recover.
Elm bark for your furry friend, a natural support for the gastrointestinal tract
In one study, numerous dogs were treated with a syrup made from elm bark. After only a few days of application, a significant improvement was observed after episodes of diarrhoea and vomiting. It has been shown that elm bark contributed to a harmonisation of gastric and intestinal activity.
Elm bark for cats, an aid to hairball digestion
Another study showed that elm bark can promote the production of mucus in the gastrointestinal tract of cats, so that swallowed hairballs in cats cannot become matted and pass through the intestines more easily. If swallowed hairs are not excreted immediately, elm bark has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties on the mucous membranes of cats.
For thousands of years, the inside of elm bark has been used by indigenous people in a variety of ways, such as to support the gastrointestinal tract.
AniForte® Elm Bark is composed of 100% American red elm bark, carefully dried and ground. This results in a pure natural product, perfectly adapted to the animal's needs, thanks to the high quality standards. In terms of taste, elm bark is very well accepted by both dogs and cats.
