Almax is an antacid medicine in the form of chewable tablets formulated with almagate, an active substance with antacid properties to help neutralise excess acid in the stomach. It is therefore used for the relief and symptomatic treatment of heartburn and stomach pain, as well as to relieve stomach discomfort after heavy meals and temporary heartburn.

Almax for stomach pain

Almax is mainlyused to relieve discomfort related to gastric hyperacidity (such as heartburn, burning, mild acid reflux), so it is not suitable for all types of stomach pain. If it is persistent, very intense, or accompanied by other symptoms such as fever, vomiting, blood in stools..., it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Almax for gastritis

As an antacid medicine, it is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of gastritis and other digestive disorders such as heartburn, dyspepsia, gastric and duodenal ulcer, oesophagitis and hiatus hernia. Its mechanism of action is to rapidly neutralise excess acid in the stomach, providing immediate relief from symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain or discomfort.

Almax for gas

Almax can be useful for bloating whenever it is accompanied by symptoms of indigestion (such as heartburn, nausea, tightness in the abdomen...). Please note that almagate is an antacid and cannot be used for gas. For this ailment, there are specific medicines formulated with simethicone or dimethicone, active ingredients that act by breaking up gas bubbles to facilitate their elimination.
