A plant-based medicine formulated to stimulate the body's defences. It is therefore very useful in the treatment of the common cold, as it is an immunomodulator. Who is it intended for? Intended for use in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age. Instructions for use Take 1 capsule every eight hours orally at the main meals. It is recommended to take before starting to eat, allowing them to dissolve in the mouth. Do not take this medicine for more than 10 days. Contraindications Do not use EchinaMed: In children under 1 year of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding. In case of allergy to plants of the Asteracea family or to any of the components included in this medicine. If you suffer from tuberculosis, allergies with symptoms of urticaria, eczema or asthma, AIDS or other diseases of the immune or autoimmune system. You have an autoimmune disease, transplants with immunosuppressive treatment, chemotherapy or radiotherapy, or when there is a low white blood cell count such as agranulocytosis. Side effects Echinamed can cause side effects, as is the case with all medicines. In this case, it has been observed that it can trigger allergic reactions in patients who are prone to allergies, itching, swelling, asthma and even anaphylactic shock in severe cases. Decreased platelets Inflammation of the brain and spinal cord Bronchospasm Leucopenia Erythema nodosum Composition One tablet of EchinaMed contains as active ingredients: 17.7 mg dry extract of the fresh aerial part of Echinacea purpurea and 0.9 mg dry extract of the fresh root of Echinacea purpurea. The other excipients are: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, soya polysaccharides and magnesium stearate. Pharmaceutical Opinion This is a medicine formulated from natural plants, which has the ability to stimulate our defences. It is therefore administered to prevent colds and flu, or when the first symptoms appear, by allowing it to dissolve slowly in the mouth at the beginning of the day.
