3M Futuro is a reversible splint wrist brace that helps soothe wrist muscles and joints when they are sore or stiff. It has a sophisticated patented design that adapts comfortably to the shape of the hand.
It incorporates 3 adjustable microvelcro straps that allow it to be adjusted according to the needs of each user. It is made of high quality, soft, permeable, latex-free, hypoallergenic and breathable materials, which counteract excess perspiration so that it does not irritate the skin.
It is easy to put on and take off, measuring 15.7 cm x 19.1 cm to cover the entire wrist and palm area and provide the required support. It incorporates an adaptable metal splint for positioning it on the affected hand.
The 3M Futuro wrist brace is indicated for adults with wrist joint pain, tendon inflammation and carpal tunnel pain. It is also useful for people with sprains and chronic inflammatory injuries in the wrist and palm area. This orthosis is suitable for people intolerant to latex as it is latex-free.
To put on the wrist support, the fasteners are opened and the hand is placed in the support with the splint in the palm. Next, the central band is closed, then the side bands and finally the thumb band. All fasteners are tightened until a firm support is achieved, without over-tightening. If it is to be used on the left hand, the splint is removed and, keeping it in the same position, the wristband is rotated and the splint is inserted into the opposite hole until it is inside the wristband. To wash the splint, the metal splints should be removed through the openings at the base of the brace and all fasteners secured. It should not be machine washed or dried, but hand washed with a mild detergent and lukewarm water and left to air dry.
This orthopaedic article should not be used if there are open, bleeding, oozing or feverish wounds or cuts on this part of the limb. It is also not suitable for people with allergic reactions or intolerance to its materials.
