BRUDY

Brudylab is a laboratory specialising in the application of the health benefits of DHA. On this basis, it offers dietary products that act by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation caused by certain diseases. The company has been a pioneer in the use of this triglyceride and has even obtained a European patent for the use of DHA Triglyceride as a cellular antioxidant.

The origins of BrudyTechnology go back to 1995 when, in partnership with the American company Omegatech, we started in Europe the application of Omega3 fatty acids in food products such as eggs, sausages and industrial bakery products. In 1997, we were awarded the prize for the most innovative European product, with eggs enriched with Omega 3. During this period, we achieved sales of 60M €/year in Spain, Portugal and France.

From the food sector, we made the leap to the nutraceutical sector, with the manufacture of the first European oils rich in DHA, with our brand Algatrium ®, a name that derives from the fact that the raw material used was initially Schizochitrium algae oil, which was later replaced by oil extracted from fish. In 2008 we were awarded the prestigious Health Ingredients Award Europe 2008.

Since 1998, BrudyTechnology has been committed to research and innovation, applied both to improving the manufacturing processes of oil concentrated in highly bioactive DHA triglyceride, and to understanding the mechanisms of action of docosahexaenoic acid.This has always been done in close contact with various universities, such as the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Petrochemical Research Institute of the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council), the University of Burgos, the University of Almeria, the Fisheries Research Centre of Vigo and several others. This research has then been transferred to applications in different areas of human health, through clinical trials in different Spanish hospitals.

All these efforts, with an investment of more than 10 million Euros of 100% Spanish capital, have led to the granting of 3 patents for the use of Triglyceride concentrated in DHA worldwide, a milestone for which we are proud. And they continue to invest in research, with the intention of innovating new, even more functional and optimally absorbed molecules on the market, such as the structured triglycerides that we will be launching shortly.

BrudyTechnology is not satisfied with the fact that our concentrated DHA triglyceride (Tridocosahexaenoin-AOX) complies with the most demanding international quality standards on Omega-3. They go one step further and demand that their DHA preserves the maximum Bioactivity, being the only company in the world that guarantees it biologically by means of a Cellular Bioactivity Test.
