The programme Espana Directo visits Farmaciasdirect

In the middle of a wave of work, we opened the doors of the Farmaciasdirect warehouse to the team from the television programme Espana Directo, broadcast on RTVE, to explain how we are working these days to ensure products reach customers without them having to leave home.
Jose Carlos Fernandez, journalist for the programme Espana Directo, visited our facilities to interview Antonio Campos, pharmacist and founder of Farmaciasdirect, in order to learn more about how an online pharmacy works and how this health crisis is affecting us.
Hygiene and safety measures
In the interview, as Antonio Campos points out, you can see that our picking and logistics team has been following strict hygiene and safety measures every day since 13 March, such as the use of gloves and masks throughout the working day.
In addition, working hours have been modified and divided into two shifts, morning and afternoon, to reduce contact between colleagues.
Every day, a cleaning team comes to the warehouse to disinfect it from end to end. In this way, we not only guarantee the safety of our colleagues, but also ensure that products reach their final recipient in optimal conditions.
Number of orders
Regarding the wave of orders, in recent weeks we have noticed a significant increase. This is mainly due to the purchase of basic hygiene products, such as non-prescription medicines, gloves, masks, alcohol, hydroalcoholic gel and food supplements.
Featured products
Given this situation, and to guarantee the supply of these products, at Farmaciasdirect we considered that the most reasonable and coherent approach was to limit the number of essential hygiene items per purchase. This way, everyone can access them.
Online pharmaceutical advice
As many of you will already know, our qualified pharmacists Mercedes Sanz and Cristina Rodriguez are available on the other side of the screen to offer personal, detailed advice on different products or treatments.
In addition, using information gathered from official sources, they are reporting daily on the latest known data about Covid-19, with the aim of raising awareness among our users about the situation we are facing, as explained in this post.
