How to reduce stress

  • Set realistic and achievable goals. Setting overly demanding goals can cause your stress levels to rise. It is better to meet achievable goals gradually and progressively. It is important to prioritise and learn to say no.
  • Maintain a good work-life balance. It is important to learn to switch off from work so you can look after other important areas of life, such as family and friends.
  • Make sure you get enough sleep. For good performance during the day, it is advisable to sleep for 8 hours a day.
  • Follow a healthy diet, providing all the nutrients the body needs.
  • See a mental health professional. If necessary, it is important to have therapy if you find that these tips are not helping you control stress.
