Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory condition. In other words, it is a lifelong condition that alternates between flare-up and remission phases. Psoriasis presents as hyperkeratinisation (thickening of the skin) accompanied by inflammatory symptoms. This results in the appearance of red plaques and thick white scales, usually accompanied by intense itching. The skin barrier is weakened and the skin becomes dry. The symptoms have an impact on quality of life. This impact can be exacerbated by the fact that psoriasis is surrounded by misconceptions such as that it is caused by poor hygiene or that it is contagious. These beliefs are clearly wrong.

PSORIASIS XERIAL DM is indicated for the treatment of the symptoms of psoriasisvulgaris. It contains high doses of dermatological active ingredients:

- A kerato-repair complex with 15% pure urea and a marine exopolysaccharide : This has a keratolytic action that reduces thick plaques and scales. The marine exopolysaccharide is derived from Brittany red algae. This recognised active ingredient helps reduce flaking while moisturising the skin.3

- 27% emollients including shea butter and Camelina sativa seed oil to soothe and protect the skin.
