Hemorrhoid medications may include over-the-counter creams or ointments formulated from ingredients such as witch hazel, hydrocortisone, lidocaine, zinc oxide, among others, to relieve pain, swelling and itching. In addition, over-the-counter pain relievers such as paracetamol, aspirin or ibuprofen can also be used to relieve pain.
