Salvat Megasmect 10 sachets

SALVAT Megasmect is a food supplement designed to be diluted in liquid and taken when you have symptoms of diarrhoea. Its main active ingredient, Diosmectite, binds to the intestines and absorbs the toxins or viruses responsible for the condition. It also helps with water absorption to soften the stool and restore the intestinal epithelium.

This food supplement is primarily indicated to help the gastrointestinal system to prevent diarrhoea. It can be used by both children and adults, including celiac and dairy intolerant people, as it does not contain gluten or lactose.

The instructions for use of this food supplement can be divided according to the age of the person who is going to take it. However, regardless of this, it is recommended that the intake of this product be taken for a period of 3 to 5 days depending on the condition of the person. Furthermore, it can be taken for long periods continuously without any risk of adverse effects. The recommended doses are as follows:

• For children under one year of age, 1 sachet per day is recommended, which can be taken in one single dose, or spread over several doses.
• Children between 1 and 2 years of age should take 1 to 2 sachets a day, preferably with a rest period of 12 hours between sachets.
• Children over 2 years of age can take 2 to 3 sachets a day, and it is also recommended that there is a rest period of 8 to 12 hours between sachets.
• Adults can take 3 sachets spread over the day, regardless of the time between ingestion.

The sachets should be diluted in 25 to 50 ml of water, milk or mixed with purees, soups and creams.

The following are some of the contraindications and recommendations that should be taken into consideration when taking this product:

• Although the adult dosage has some freedom when it comes to ingesting the sachets, it is recommended not to consume them all at the same time.
• Avoid taking if you are allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients in Megasmect.
• It is not recommended if you do not suffer from traditional diarrhoeal symptoms. If you do, it is recommended for use once the symptoms are no longer present.
